Seeing Jon Rappoport by Ray Songtree

Letter Nov 16, 2016 (updated Dec 23, 2016)

I like journalist Jon’s Rappoport’s breaking news and investigation.  Apparently however, he is not grounded with Earth.  “No limits?”

The dominant culture is so pervasive.

This is sad.  He is an elder now and still not respecting limits?

When I say that we each should respect borders and boundaries, perhaps the reader might think I am talking about nations, or tribes or the self, but nature also has borders and boundaries. Nature is not the “limitless universe.” Nature is the context where each of us happen to be right now, and where we happen to be is limited.

I don’t walk on two trails at same time, I just walk on one, and that trail has limits.  I am not speaking of a metaphorical trail, I am talking about a dirt path through the plants, something some people may not have ever experienced.

I don’t even like the word Universe anymore. I like “multi-verse” and that means we have to take responsibility for our verse and not assume we know every other verse, which no one knows.

Here is bit of history about the problem nature is facing with  Jon Rappaport’s love of “imagination.”

… The dominant culture has always been aristocratic and then urban. Serfs existed to be used by the elite and most of us have always been serfs. The elite have been and are parasites.  And now the new sub species, urban Homo indoorsians, regards every and all rural cultures as “primitive.”  Urban people dominant nature with their disconnected want of things, and in turn, urban people are serfs to the elite. We serfs  take pride in trying to become like the elite and we also try to rise above everything rural in the pecking order of extraction, which I call the pyramid of abuse.

There are no dirt paths in the city, so therefore impact, or collateral damage, is not a problem for city people because it is out of sight. Everyone is part to of a hive anyway so that no one is accountable. What, me worry? So rather than live in a known tribe on known territory with known plants and animals and rivers and weather, where human identity is built upon sovereignty, most Homo indoorsians live in their imaginations and regard the street as their universe. For urban people, the street is “nature.” Their universe is a man made reality. They know no other.

Buddha-hand-close

At the fringe of consciousness, Buddha found madness, and reached down and touched the Earth for context.

In Jon’s four messages below we hear the megalomania of the dominant culture, the pride, the rush of conquest.

It is sad and worse for me.

The biggest challenge to environmentalists is the dominant culture, which defines success as destruction and celebrates self-importance.

In the doublespeak inverted values of the conquistaodors, rape means progress.

The entrepreneur/visionary and his challenges – Jon Rappaport

[Brackets are my comments – Ray]

By Jon Rappoport (Newsletter)

This article isn’t about tax rates and government red tape and intrusive regulations. Those issues are, of course, very real.

This is about the person who has large dreams and ambitions, and has launched them, or is on the cusp of launching them. He appears to be a dying breed in this society, but he is not. Under the surface, out of the limelight, there are many, many such people. I have worked with some of them in my consulting practice, and I admire them. They have escaped from the dependency culture. They have energy, and they move forward. They don’t set gross limits on themselves. They understand the founding ideas on which this country was built. [Extraction for the European elite.]

On one level, the[y] share the trait of resistance. They don’t back down and opt for safe and easy solutions. They don’t bow down to the system [or the Earth] or prevailing trends. They don’t obsessively look for excuses. Wearing a nicey-nice mask isn’t their main goal.

They deal with challenges. One, of course, is building something from the ground up. Another is building a vision into the world [?] without scaling it back so far that it loses its unique scope, size, and power. [Me me me]

Entrepreneurship has a counter-intuitive core. The more the enterprise is built to the scale of the original dream, and the less it is compromised, the greater the chances of success. [What if the Earth asks for compromise?]

This is something most people can’t fathom. [Most people are serfs and he is counseling wanna be aristocrats.] They see compromise as the ultimate instrument. They deploy it whenever they can. They strive to become experts in its use. They see invention and creation as entirely dependent on the public’s “lowest common denominator.” This, to them, is the way reality works. [Reality is not how we think, nor how Rappaport thinks. The dominant culture tries to re-invent reality instead of respecting nature. The dominant culture does not re-invent itself to adapt to nature. The dominant culture re-invents itself to be an efficient lubricant for the machine.]

And on one level, they’re right. But this isn’t the level of the person with a vision. How thrilling [me me me] the enterprise becomes when it is built to be everything it was meant to be—and when, lo and behold, people respond [People? So now it is about me me me in the eyes of others] —as if they’ve been waiting for it, for a long time. Then the entrepreneur/visionary realizes how reality CAN operate. It’s a revelation. He experiences it. [Fame?]

The entrepreneur needs to inspire the people he works with. Committing to his own vision [?????] through thick and thin, he has to keep it fresh and new. Even if, at times, he feels as if he’s rolling a huge stone up a hill, he can’t let the vision merge with that stone. [???] He has to keep the vision pure. [Separate, disconnected, vain.] His ace in the hole is he WANTS to keep it new and pure. [???? Desire is supreme?] His final challenge is avoiding becoming rigid as he keeps the vision secure. He has to pour an elastic and far-reaching energy into his work. He has to be able to be spontaneous—there are many times when improvisation in the moment is his best ally.

If all this seems too much—it isn’t. Deep down, the entrepreneur knows it. He is tapping into a well that is bottomless. He comes to understand this secret. There are no limits. [WTF?]

His imagination and creative power have no boundaries. [Then such people should leave the planet and don’t land anywhere or you will destroy that planet also!]

The entrepreneur can cross a threshold and find that his work and goals have expanded to such a degree that he has become a true visionary. [Deluded. Is Jon deluded? Sounds like it. ]  What he once thought was the end of his ambition was just a stepping stone, and the path he is now walking has no end.

No end.

—Always beginning.

The architect and engineer of his dream, he can simultaneously look at what he has built so far and appreciate it, and he can also see that he is, at the start of every day, inventing anew. He is, simultaneously, a thousand miles along his path, and immersed in a great Now. [And no longer touching the Earth and her needs and boundaries and limits. UG. Horrible advice. A steward conforms to the land, never the other way around. There are  millions of other species on the Earth. We conform to them or we destroy life. Included here, three more of his recent messages below. His vaunted “individuality” as answer to collective unconsiousness is “unlimited.”]

The Individual unshackled from old space and time

by Jon Rappoport     December 17, 2016

[Brackets are my comments – Ray]

Here is an excerpt of an introduction I wrote to my second collection, Exit From the Matrix:

“Global solution” means the individual is cut out of the equation, he doesn’t count, he doesn’t mean anything in the larger scheme of things, he’s just another pawn and cipher to move around on the board.

And as more duped and deluded people sign on to this agenda, the whole concept of the individual shrinks and becomes irrelevant.

This is purposeful.

This is the script for the future: create problems whose only solution appears to be collective.

Psychologically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually divert the individual’s attention from his own vision, his own profound desires, his own consciousness, his own imagination—and place it within The Group (“all of humanity”).

Propagandize the idea that, if the individual concerns himself with anything other than The Group, he is selfish, greedy, inhumane. He is a criminal.

More and more, this is how the young are being trained these days.

The grand “we” is being sold to them like a cheap street drug. They buy in. They believe this “we” is real, instead of a hollow con designed to drag them into a Globalist framework owned and operated by mega-corporations, banks, foundations, governments, and ubiquitous Rockefeller interests.

And what of the individual, his mind, his unique perception, his independent ideas, his originality, his life-force?

Swept away in the rush toward “a better world.” [YES, THE PROBLEM IS THE RUSH TOWARD IMAGINED UTOPIA WHICH NEVER HAPPENS. WHERE IS JON RUSHING TO?]

I have breaking news. Earth is not a spaceship and we are not crew members. If Earth is a spaceship, it has serious design flaws, because it keeps making the same trip around the same sun every year.

[TRUE, BUT THE POINT BY ENVIRONMENTALISTS WAS THAT THE EARTH IS A LIMITED ZONE WHERE CONSEQUENCES LIKE FUKASHIMA ARE REAL. THE POINT OF THE SPACESHIP ANALOGY, GRANTED, A VERY POOR ANALOGY BECAUSE EARTH IS A GREAT MYSTERY, NOT A VEHICLE TO SOME PLACE ELSE, WAS THAT THE BIOSPHERE IS A BUBBLE OF LIFE FLOATING IN SPACE.  IT IS A POOR METAPHOR.]

Each one of us does not have a specified function, as a crew member would.

Going back as far as you want to in history, every shortage and scarcity in the world that engendered a crisis was either created by some elite or maintained by them, for the purpose of [and more recently, this was done intentionally, hegelian dialectic, for …] eradicating dissent and fomenting a collectivist solution. Meaning a solution that came from the top. Meaning a solution that reduced individual freedom.  [THAT IS BECAUSE THERE IS TOO MUCH FECES IN THE RIVER, SO WE NEED MORE RULES TO CONTROL ALL THE POOP.  WHEN I WAS A KID, MOUNTAIN STREAMS DID NOT HAVE GIARDIA]

In recent human history, a different idea emerged: establish severely hamstrung government, in order to protect the individual against it.

This idea existed in its pristine form for about an hour after the ink dried on the founding documents.

But regardless of circumstances, the individual can author his own freedom and what it implies. He can discover, within himself, extraordinary possibilities and extraordinary consciousness. [YEA RIGHT, BUT THAT GETS OLD, AND WE RETURN FROM VISION QUEST TO BE OF SERVICE] He can contemplate what it means to create reality that expresses his most profound desires. [WHICH ARE FINALLY SEEN AS JUST SELFISH DESIRES. BIBLE CALLED IT VANITY AND VEXATION.]

And then he can begin a voyage that no one and no group can stop. [IS JON LOST IN EGO?]

Civilizations come and go, rise and fall, but the individual remains. [THE INDIVIDUAL IS A TEMPORARY MANIFESTATION.  DESIRES COME AND GO, BUT CONTEXT NEVER DISAPPEARS. DO WE IDENTIFY WITH ME ME ME, OR DO WE HAVE A SENSE OF PLACE?]

The word “imagination,” when properly understood, indicates that the individual can envision and then create futures that never were, and never would be, unless he invented them. [VANITY]

Imagination is the opposite of “provincial,” “restricted,” “well-known,” “familiar,” “accepted.” [I DISAGREE WITH JON. IMAGINATION IS JUST A PERMUTATION OF WHAT WE HAVE ALREADY EXPERIENCED, A HISTORY OF EXPERIENCE, A CONTEXT. ONE CAN COMPOSE A NEW SONG, BUT IT IS MADE OF NOTES, WHICH THE COMPOSER DID NOT INVENT.]

That is its danger to the status quo.

That is the true threat the individual poses to all predictive [TOP/DOWN] systems.

Therefore, “it’s all just information” is the psyop code-phrase. Ideas, thoughts—nothing is original, nothing is new; we all “share” information floating in the collective consciousness; the individual invents nothing.

Which is the opposite of the truth. The individual invents everything.

[HOLD ON. EVERYTHING. JON IS GETTING DOWNRIGHT NEW AGE. NO ONE ELSE IS REAL? THERE ARE NOT PLANTS? NO OTHER BEINGS? NO MOM? NO FAMILY? NO ECOLOGY? NO OTHER PLANETS? NO RESPECT, AND NO FITTING IN, AND NO COMPROMISE?

WHY WOULD SUCH A BRILLIANT PERSON, WHO HAS BEEN EXPOSED TO SO MUCH, AND LIKES LOGIC, BE SO EGOCENTRIC? WELL, BECAUSE HE GOT LOST. THE “MIDDLE WAY”  KEEPS US IN BALANCE. WE ARE NOT THIS OR THAT, WE ARE HERE, WHICH IS SOMEWHERE. ]

He can’t be predicted when he is himself. He is not a pattern. He is not a system.

He is not anyone else.

He thrives on his own inspiration.

He is the ultimate riverboat gambler. He bets the house on his own as-yet uncreated future.

He is not a piece of universe. [YES WE ARE. AND WE ARE A HE OR SHE. BUT WE ARE NOT ONLY A PIECE, WE ARE PERCEIVERS. THE ENTIRE COSMOS ARE INDEED REFLECTED IN A SINGLE DROP OF DEW.]

He is not a humble servant of Order. [TRUE, BUT ARE WE HUMBLE SERVANTS OF SERVICE OR  ARE WE EGOTISTIC DERIDERS OF SERVICE? THAT IS, ARE WE HUMBLE, EVEN IF WE DARE TO BREAK FROM THE HERD?]

He invents the space and time of his own time to come. [?]

Everything about him is magic, if he would see it. [UM, IS MY SNOT MAGIC? ]

As early as 1961, a brilliant healer, Richard Jenkins, whom I write about in my book, The Secret Behind Secret Societies (included in the Exit From The Matrix collection), explained what was to come. He wrote me a note, which I’m paraphrasing from memory: “People are confusing their own empathic response with some overblown idea about group identity. They aren’t the same. People are becoming afraid of their own unique and distinct existence. This is a social fear. A new social contract is being foisted on the population. Either you belong, or you have no rights. This is a totalitarian concept. It’s coming in through the back door.”

[IT IS JUST INSTITUTIONAL HERD THINKING THAT IS REPLACING TRIBAL UNITY. WE ARE NOT LONE CATS, WE ARE SOCIAL CREATURES WHO CANNOT EXIST WITHOUT OTHERS.  THE HERMIT LEARNED HIS SKILLS FROM SOMEONE ELSE. WE SURVIVE IN GROUPS. JON IS URGING US TO BREAK FROM NWO HERD, BUT TO DO THIS, USING VANITY, IS A MISTAKE.]

Well, now, it’s right there at the front door.

The individual still has a choice. But he has to make it. [GOOD!]

Explore and use his own power, or give it away for nothing more than an illusion of belonging. [GOOD!]

Stoke the fires within, or form a diluted image of self, and bow down to The Group. The only being who can make that choice is the individual himself.

Once he finds enough of his own creative power, he knows which way to go.

[ONCE WE EACH TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR OWN DECISIONS, WE DON’T THINK ONLY OF OUR SELVES.]

And what about you? Six notes on Exit From The Matrix

By Jon Rappoport  Newsletter Dec 18, 2016

These are  [six] notes I prepared prior to putting together my collection, Exit From the Matrix

[Brackets are my comments – Ray]

“The free and independent individual is always going to be dangerous to somebody. It goes with the territory. The creative individual always upsets apple carts.
[There is a yin yang relationship between creativity and tradition, but Jon doesn’t see this, and relishes “creativity,” thereby dissing tradition, which comes very close to Aleister Crowley’s satanic motto, “Do what thou wilt.”]

Satanist Aleister Crowley, darling of perverted Hollywood, inspired clothes line of Illuminati puppet Jay Z, husband of satanist Beyoncé

“He takes pleasure in it. Why not? He perceives the status quo and sees its gross limitations. [Takes pleasure in it? Relishes the mischief of breaking what works for others? This is the definition of evil.]  Timidly tip-toeing around gets no one anywhere. [Yes, it gets us further from selfishness.]  Reaching for some ‘final harmony’ that will encircle and include everyone is a pipe dream.  [True, utopia is a deluded fantasy.] The un-hypnotized individual will quite naturally punch holes in that final harmony. It’s part of being alive. The fear of offending someone, somehow, somewhere isn’t even on the radar of the free individual. [The the free individual he is an ass. Without respect of others, we fall into hedonistic megalomania. – satanism.] The fear comes from accepting a cautious view of one’s own power. [Which is wisdom, to limit one’s impact.] It comes from the suspicion that power is somehow bad. [It is indeed bad if not constrained by humility.] Nothing could be further from the truth. Any quality can be twisted and perverted. That fact doesn’t make the quality bad. [Non sequitur, the last two sentences don’t follow each other. Is he talking about twisting or is he talking about a quality? Perhaps he meant “That fact doesn’t make twisting bad” which is false, or perhaps he meant that twisting something doesn’t make the original quality bad, which is pointless.]

“Many weird and odd things happen when an individual is poised at the starting line. What starting line? The place where he begins creating the future he wants. This is where he can, if he chooses, tell himself all sorts of stories to prevent action. This is where he can invent a dozen self-defeating philosophies at the drop of a hat. This is where he can suddenly become an expert in a brand of psychology that dissects his own character and finds a brilliant reason to stall. And stall. And stall.” [And this is where the individual decides what impact his volition might entail and chooses to be moral. Jon is perhaps talking about procrastination, which is laziness. Looking before we leap is wisdom.]

“Every human possesses the power to go public. When he creates the future he wants, he will make his presence known in the world to a greater or lesser extent. The longer he persists, the greater acceptance he will earn. At the least, other people will say, ‘Well, he’s doing that. That’s what he does. We’re used to it.’ There is nothing wrong or strange about gaining visibility.”  [Here Rappaport tips us to his vanity, which is what I have been pointing out, and which is very much the essence of the dominant culture. A seeker is unconscious of being accepted or visible. As we drop self, there are no rewards for this no one left to keep track.  A seeker doesn’t dance to society’s tunes. I feel that Jon is a seeker, but he is not teaching yin-yang, he is advising vain velocity.]

“Imagination is the difference between inventing a future that feels alive and a future that feels mechanical.”  [Respect for nature is the difference between living simply or depending on imaginative inventions – tech. The destruction of nature is due to inventions. Jon must see this. ]

“The great mystery is not about how people can invent the future they want. The mystery is about how they can’t. It’s about how they can’t see the possibility.”
[He has just tried to explain the great mystery. That is not humble.  He is not quiet and open, he is trying to be the answer man. Unclear.]

“The word ‘relentless’ is not what most people would want attached to themselves. However, if they were inventing what they want to invent, a relentless approach would be quite natural. And it would not be unkind or cruel. It would connect with the joy of forward motion.”

[Again the vain excitement of thinking he is going forward. Toward what?  Toward balance or toward me, me, me? This is the dominant culture, hell bent on creating a “better world” and destroying nature in it’s mad vain rush to consume more novelty. What is Jon joyfully moving forward toward?]

Of course his message was popular because he doesn’t understand Buddhism. He thinks Buddhism is about the individual, so he is emphasizing “no limits” which is a mistake.  Buddhism is the middle way, limits.

My work: the individual returns to his creative fire

by Jon Rappoport
December 23, 2016Through my articles, my Matrix collections, and my personal consulting services, I have one goal: bringing individuals back to their very capable minds, back to their own formidable power, their own imagination, their own creative force, their own deep desires and purposes. [And not to teach them respect for context.]When I began NoMoreFakeNews 15 years ago, I wasn’t sure how many people could handle this message. But I decided to find out. I’ve been pleasantly surprised, to say the very least. If there is a tradition I have been adding to, all these years, it is early Tibet—before the priest class moved in and took over. The magicians and their students were engaged in an enterprise of extraordinary dimensions.  [Which was self centered.  The conversion of black magicMilarepa to Buddhism by “the priest class” is a story Jon missed.]My research revealed that this tradition was initiated, some 1400 years ago, by teachers from India, who came to Tibet after being expelled from universities for their radical views. These teachers rejected the content and cosmology of all spiritual systems.

[That is one story. Here is another story which is very different than Jon’s.

…The history of Buddhism in Tibet begins with Bon. The Bon religion of Tibet was animistic and shamanistic, and elements of it live on today, to one degree or another, in Tibetan Buddhism.

Although Buddhist scriptures may have made their way into Tibet centuries earlier, the history of Buddhism in Tibet effectively begins in 641 CE. In that year, King Songtsen Gampo (d. ca. 650) unified Tibet through military conquest and took two Buddhist wives, Princess Bhrikuti of Nepal and Princess Wen Cheng of China. The princesses are credited with introducing their husband to Buddhism.

Songtsen Gampo built the first Buddhist temples in Tibet, including the Jokhang in Lhasa and the Changzhug in Nedong. He also put Tibetan translators to work on the Sanskrit scriptures.

During the reign of King Trisong Detsen, which began about 755 CE, Buddhism became the official religion of the Tibetan people. The King also invited famous Buddhist teachers such as Shantarakshita and Padmasambhava to Tibet.

Padmasambhava, remembered by Tibetans as Guru Rinpoche (“Precious Master”), was an Indian master of tantra whose influence on the development of Tibetan Buddhism is incalculable. He is credited with building Samye, the first monastery in Tibet, in the late 8th century. Nyingma, one of the four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism, claims Guru Rinpoche as its patriarch.

According to legend, when Guru Rinpoche arrived in Tibet he pacified the Bon demons and made them protectors of the Dharma.]

They essentially stated that such metaphysical “pictures” of existence were creative inventions—

And that the true subject for study, contemplation, enlightenment, and, above all, exercise was the individual creative impulse itself—

Creative power, imagination, and invention, at the level of the individual.

[However, if the creative impulse is not constrained in by a moral tradition then it becomes destructive. Did they teach this or not? They did indeed or they were black magicians.]

The Tibetan exercises were fashioned to expand individual creative power without limit.  [Jon missed the boat, and thus cannot teach a moral principal and can offer no alternative to the dominant culture.]

In that tradition [huh?], and for these modern times, I developed hundreds of imagination/creative techniques.

JON IS A GREAT JOURNALIST, WHO THINKS IN HIS HEAD, THAT THE PURPOSE OF LIFE IS NO LIMITS.  OF COURSE PEOPLE IN THE DOMINANT CULTURE, LIKE ALMOST ANYONE WHO CAN AFFORD INTERNET ACCESS, AND WHO ARE OBSESSED WITH THEIR OWN TECH POWER OVER NATURE, WOULD LOVE THIS IDEA.

LET’S BACK AWAY FROM INVENTIVE IMAGINATION AND DEVOTE OUR CREATIVE POWER TO SOMETHING VERY GOOD IN “OLD TIME AND SPACE” AND THAT IS THE SIMPLICITY OF PRODUCING NECESSITIES BY HAND.

THE ANCIENT IS SUSTAINABLE.

    From friend K

Rappaport seems to believe that imagination is an absolute and an absolute good (or would he even consider that some moral value is necessary or intrinsic to reality?). I appreciate many things about Jon, but thanks for giving voice to the idea that the free reign of the individual (and his imagination) is not an absolute value.

Jon sometimes seems to me to have been shaped by the radical, secular sixties where rebellion for rebellion’s sake seemed sufficient.
